Activity Libraries on the Web
There are hundreds of web sites which store lesson plans and student activities for teachers to use. This is a short list of some of the better ones. Many of the projects will take the form of a WebQuest and the best projects often show up in more than one collection.
Blue Web'n Web Activities Library
Part of the San Diego College of Education Wired Learning site sponsored by Pacific Bell Telephone. You can also sign up for a weekly email notification of new and significant education sites.
The "Official" Web Quest collection
Bernie Dodge, co-creator of the WebQuest concept, maintains this collection of Quests. It is organized by grade level and subject area, although you may also find projects you can use at other levels and in other subject areas.
This contest has been around since 1996 (ThinkQuest Junior since 1997) and all of the entries have been posted here. You can browse by catagory or do a keyword search to find a project on almost any topic.
This is more of a clearinghouse for teachers looking for projects and for teachers trying to find partners in their projects. They also sponsor the CyberFair contest which challenges students to build web sites telling the world something about their communities.
Part of the WWW4Teachers site, this site allows you to organize your web bookmarks into lessons and add annotations to them. The bookmark list is shown in a frame window and is available at all times. The site also contains a large collection of tracks created by other teachers which can be searched by keyword.
