Another Way to Look at the News
While you can read the news from hundreds of sources on the web, the Newsmap is a completely different way of looking at the world wide importance of those events. The main page draws from the Google news aggregator to show the prominance of a story (by the size of the box) and it’s age (by the shadding of the box). You can customize the interface by selecting the news categories you wish to include and view one version of the story by clicking on any of the story boxes. This could be a great resource for high school social studies or journalism classes.
