easy way to span rows and columns
Spanning (merging) columns and rows in a table can be done in the Inspector but also can be done visually in the table itself.
Select a cell in the table on the left edge of the range you want to merge. Hold down the Shift key and use the arrow keys to select the cells you want to merge.
