Big Brother Doesn’t Trust You

"Trusted Computing" is one of those concepts developed by the big tech companies that sounds pretty good on the surface. Like something you might want, especially if you’re plagued by viruses, worms, spam and other internet crap.

It sounds good, that is, until someone explains it to you in plain English. Explains how, if this technology is built into your computer, DVD player, car stereo, etc., you probably won’t be in control of determining what content your electronic device is allowed to use. The content provider will be.

Take a few minutes to watch this short video. "Trusted computing" may not sound so pleasant afterwards.
