As long as I’m ranting about No Child Left Behind, I’ll toss in this story that’s been in my bookmark list for a week. I would have posted it sooner but it makes me so angry I’ve had trouble figuring out what to say that would be PG rated. Anyway, read the story of this Oregon teacher, finalist for teacher of the year, recipient of grants and mentor to beginning teachers, who may be forced out of the classroom because NCLB says he is not "highly qualified". On the other hand, the people taking two tests are "highly qualified".
