[Animation] is not a genre. A western is a genre. Animation is an art form and it can do any genre. It can do a detective film, a cowboy film, a horror film, an R-rated film, or kids fairy tale. But it doesn’t do one thing. And the next time I hear "what’s it like to work in the ‘animation genre’", I’m gonna punch that person.
— Brad Bird, writer/director of The Incredibles on the DVD commentary track.
Nobody does DVD extras like Pixar! Fun and absolutely free of pretension. And every time I watch a "Making of" documentary on one of their DVDs I know that my dream job would be working for Pixar. It would be a tremendous kick working in that kind of creative atmosphere day after day. Of course, I don’t nearly have the talent necessary to work there but I guess that’s why they call it a "dream job".
