No, no… not me. The guy who wrote the commentary with that name for the British newspaper The Guardian.
I hate Macs. I have always hated Macs. I hate people who use Macs. I even hate people who don’t use Macs but sometimes wish they did. Macs are glorified Fisher-Price activity centres for adults; computers for scaredy cats too nervous to learn how proper computers work; computers for people who earnestly believe in feng shui.
PCs are the ramshackle computers of the people. You can build your own from scratch, then customise it into oblivion. Sometimes you have to slap it to make it work properly, just like the Tardis (Doctor Who, incidentally, would definitely use a PC). PCs have charm; Macs ooze pretension. When I sit down to use a Mac, the first thing I think is, “I hate Macs”, and then I think, “Why has this rubbish aspirational ornament only got one mouse button?” Losing that second mouse button feels like losing a limb.
He risks burning out the circuits on his email, not to mention the comments section of the site with much more like that, all triggered by the English versions of Apple’s “I’m a Mac and I’m a PC” ad campaign.
I have nothing nasty to say to him, however. Some of us have both a Mac AND a sense of humor. :-)
Good heavens… I love my Mac! And – get this – I don’t hate PCs…
Strangely, none of my son’s Fisher-Price devices seem to run on UNIX…
;-)
I work fluently in both! And I love my Mac. I tolerate my PC.
I’ve always said I hate both and all computer operating systems – almost equally.

This was one funny rant about Mac’s. I am not a fan about Macs on the basis that I am very used to my PC and can build and fix my PC at will. I am not fond about Macs for some of the same reasons the writer of the Guardian pointed. Nevertheless, I must admit that I am not a fan about Microsoft OS either, especially when Microsoft can now remotely shut down your PC, no wonder major companies and foreign countries are migrating to Linux and other OSystems.
Poor dear, perhaps the author’s feng shui needs some harmonizing…..
