At least that’s according a financial web site which used market research data to come to that conclusion.
According to a recent The Street video, they say that Mac users are “snobs.” The video, which is based on research by Mindset Media says that Mac owners are more likely:
— to be perfectionists [not me at all]
— to use notebooks [sure, but that’s the fastest growing part of the PC market too]
— to use teeth whitening products [not me]
— to drive station wagons [ok, that me]
— to pay for downloaded music [well… mostly]
— to go to Starbucks [never. I have better things to spend $4 a cup on]
— care about “green” products and the environment [and this is a snobby thing to do??]
— to own a hybrid car [nope]
— and last but not least … to buy 5 pairs of sneakers in a year [you must be joking]
They also claim that Mac owners tend to be “liberals”.
Does all of that add up to being a snob? Personally, if you toss in the liberal part, I only hit 5 (maybe 4.75) out of the ten points.
So, I guess it must be the rest of you Mac owners out there who fit the profile. :-)
