An American comic has won a "prestigious" prize for comedy in Great Britian. I’ve never heard of Demetri Martin but he just received the Perrier Best Newcomer Award which is described as the "most important award in UK comedy and set comics like Steve Coogan, Al Murray and Frank Skinner on the road to stardom."
