Buried deep in the A section of this morning’s Post, more evidence that President Obama* will be ready from day one to reverse some of the crap that’s come from eight years of the outgoing administration.
Transition advisers to President-elect Barack Obama have compiled a list of about 200 Bush administration actions and executive orders that could be swiftly undone to reverse White House policies on climate change, stem cell research, reproductive rights and other issues, according to congressional Democrats, campaign aides and experts working with the transition team.
Certainly a flurry of executive orders in January won’t undo all the damage done by W and friends over this decade.
However, it will signal the start of a period (hopefully a long one) in which leaders at the national level make policy based on science and research, not guts and faith.
