The next time you go to get a passport photo, smiling for the camera may be banned. The British have found that happy faces make it harder for their new photo scanners to get a good read from the face in the picture. Beginning late next year, the British Passport Services hopes to have a facial recognition system in place at all points of entry and is telling it’s citizens their pictures must show a "neutral expression". Considering how dreary air travel has become, not smiling in anticipation shouldn’t be a problem.
