Welcome to the most recent edition of AssortedStuff | Tech. Here you’ll find the notes from sessions and workshops I’ve presented as well as other materials I use to train and support teachers (and others) who want to use technology to improve their professional practice and personal productivity.
All of the training materials I’ve written are still here (even the reallllly old stuff) but the layout has changed. On the front page you’ll find a regularly updated stream of posts about websites, apps, ideas and other things I’ve found for using technology to teach and learn. Subscribe to the RSS feed to get the most current information.
To find any of the conference notes and tutorials, use the search tool at the top left, look under the category drop-down or click on one the tags in the cloud. And if you can’t find the information you thought was here, or just have a question or suggestion, please use the comment form.
Speaking of changes, the process of building this site is not without it’s bugs. Expect them to be squashed and the appearance tweaked as they are discovered. Let me know if you find any problems and thanks for being patient.
About Me
In case you’re wondering, my name is Tim Stahmer and I was an Instructional Technology Specialist for a large school district on the Virginia side of the District of Columbia. My job was to train and support teachers, primarily through the technology integration trainers we have in each of our schools. I did that for more than fifteen years and before that, I was one of those trainers.
If you have any comments or questions about these materials, or if you have any requests (I still have a lot of stuff in other formats that has not been added to this site), please write me.
