Also in the morning Post was the latest edition of the Outlook section’s regular feature, Five Myths, this time about America’s schools.

Although it was written by a staff writer who usually covers television and media, it’s hard to argue with any of the items he’s chosen, especially number 3.

1. Our schools are failing.

2. Unions defend bad teachers.

3. Billionaires know best.

4. Charter schools are the answer.

5. More effective teachers are the answer.

The only complaint I have about the piece is the same one that applies to all installments of this series.  Not enough space is devoted to fully exploring the issues raised within each myth.
