People around here like to think of this area as modern and sophisticated. The country? That’s someplace to go watch the leaves change from the comfort of an SAV (suburban assault vehicle) the size of a small house. Although Virginia is considered a Southern state, Northern Virginia might as well be on the other side of the Mason-Dixon line for its decidedly un-southern attitudes.

So how does anyone explain the moonshine still discovered just a short drive (much longer during afternoon rush) from DC? If I see an orange Dodge Charger on the Beltway, I’m moving to Maryland. :-)
