To all who choose to celebrate this most sacred of days.
Which is not entirely snark since this is pretty much the most universally honored “holiday” remaining on the US calendar. It’s also one that I don’t think anyone has added a “support the troops”/military spin to. Yet.
As you undoubtedly know, today is the start of a new year on the Gregorian calendar, the one used in most of the world. Although there’s really nothing magic in this January 1 transition point.
After four days of running around the conference,1 I only have the mental space for a few quick thoughts.
