It’s Not All Bad

For those school administrators who believe that YouTube is evil and block it from their their schools, here’s another way to look at the video sharing site.

Open Culture offers 10 Signs of Intelligent Life at YouTube, ten collections of very educational presentations that includes lectures by Nobel and Pulitzer prize winners and more.

The good stuff is there. You just have to know where to look.

I just converted the Magic Milk video, so that we can have a science contest. Students are going to develop a hypothesis about the why the food coloring starts swirling after the dish soap is added and experiment to test the hypothesis.

They will when free time in the Tech lab and maybe some other small prize depending on what I can find before school starts.

I agree that blocking you tube is not a good idea, but you can work around it if you need to.
