Well, at least one place in the world would like to copy something of our system.

The First Minister for Scotland is promising that if his party wins the upcoming elections, he plans to establish “American-style science academies” across the country.

McConnell is using as his model for the concept the science and technology magnet school in our overly large school district, which he recently visited.

And judging from the comments following the article, readers are not too happy with the idea.

Besides being critical of importing ideas from the US, it appears many of them think he should concentrate on bringing up basic skills.

In that case, do you suppose we could sell them NCLB instead?
