A few months ago Fox News sued Al Franken over his use of fair and balanced in the title of his book (and gave him a NY Times best seller in the process). Now they’ve threatened to sue Matt Groening and the producers of The Simpsons over a parody of the talking head channel. Beyond the fact that Fox News really can’t take a joke, the bizarre part is that The Simpsons is produced by Fox Television, another division of the same company! Also, the people running Fox News can’t have a very high opinion of the people watching their network. They’ve banned The Simpsons from using a news crawl along the bottom of the screen since it might "confuse viewers".
