Preventing A High School Disease

Princeton has joined Harvard in dropping their “early admissions” program.

Now, instead of sending the big decision to high school seniors in December, the poor students will have to wait until the spring to learn their fate.

Maybe this change will spread to a large number of other colleges.

If so, it could go a long way to halting the spread of senioritis, a common affliction in the brains of high school seniors shut down following receipt of a fat envelope from the university of their choice.
