After almost two weeks of travel to some incredible places, I’m back online, shaking off the last of my jet lag, and slowly easing back into normal life.
For most of that time we were cruising on a rather large ship that sailed from Copenhagen and visited six cities on the Baltic Sea, Stockholm, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallin, Gdansk, and Oslo.
It’s one of those trip-of-a-lifetime things we’ve talked about taking for years, and now just seemed like a good time to finally do it.
Anyway, I returned with more than 1200 images, not to mention many, many more memories and thoughts, a small part of which will likely turn into posts in this space.
So, over the next few weeks, this blog may sometimes resemble a travel diary, with entries about the trip sprinkled in-between rants on the usual topics.
Hope that meets with everyone’s approval. Or at least indulgence. :-)
Please write about this! I spent my 23rd birthday in Tallin when I worked on a cruise ship. Sadly, I didn’t get to Gdansk or Oslo and I regret that.
Welcome back, Tim. Like Jenny, I look forward to your impressions.
