There are very few TV programs I watch directly. Most get filtered through the DVR so I can avoid the commercials.

CBS Sunday Morning is one exception and a couple of ads caught my ear this morning.

For their products, Sprint uses a tag line telling us that “now any place can be a work place”.

That view of life is scary enough, but it’s the ads from Northrup-Grumman that are down right frightening.

They conclude by declaring that they are “defining the future”.

Since they’ve just spend thirty seconds promoting the superiority of their many weapons systems, their vision of the future is not a place in which I want to live.
