The Old Ones Are Knot Safe

A school in Manchester, England is requiring students to wear clip-on ties instead of the normal knotted ties.

According to the headmaster, the clip-ons “looked smarter on pupils, as well as preventing potential accidents”.

Potential accidents? Now, tell me your school has a dumber safety rule.

  1. The joys of a dress code.

    I’m pretty sure very few of my students would even know how to tie a tie. In a few years some of the students at that school probably won’t remember how to either.

    I must confess that I wear a tie so infrequently that, when the occasion arises, I have to look up the directions on the web. The joys of a tech job. :-)
