Looking For Some Sage Advice

The George Lucas Educational Foundation maintains a terrific web site which shows off some of the great things going on in American classrooms that have nothing to do with standardized testing. They also produce a bimonthly paper version called, Edutopia. The editors of that publication are looking for teachers willing to share some sage advice for the column of the same name.

The question for the next issue is: Report cards rarely give the full picture. What else do you use or do to give parents a snapshot of how their kids are performing? If you would like to contribute a 25 to 100 word essay for possible publication, send it to sage@edutopia.org, or visit the sage advice section of the site. Submissions are due February 16 and be sure to send all that identifying information about yourself so they can make you famous.
