Eric Faden, a professor at Bucknell University has created a brilliant explanation of copyright and fair use using short clips from many Disney cartoons.

Why just Disney cartoons? You’ll have to wait for chapter 5 of the film to find out. But it has something to do with the fact that the company has more lawyers than animators.

I agree with Cory that this should be required viewing for every student (and their teachers), including the FBI warning at the beginning.

My only complaint is that I wish he could have found a few other characters who said the word “copy” besides Buzz Lightyear.
